But i'm wondering if there is any mechanic where lords will ask to defect, or join you straight out if their kingdom is destroyed. So far i have destroyed the 3 empire kingdoms, Vlandia and am about to destroy Aserai, but i only have the few clans i have convinced to join me on my sides. Is there any other way i can get
Before you get to the point where you are "clicking on the X's" you need to order them built. There are small boxes on the ground with icons for the Ram and Siege Towers. There are 4 other boxes/outlines on the ground for you to select the actual siege engines. Click on and select the ones you want while the siege camp is being built.
